Sisters� Follies: Between Two Worlds, a dark, "spooktacular" musical, runs Oct. 1-31. Commissioned for the 100th anniversary of the Abrons Playhouse, it stars Joey Arias and Julie Atlas Muz.
The show celebrates the Playhouse's founders Alice and , who paved the way for producing avant-garde theatre between 1915-28. Their vision has provided a platform for the most influential experimental artists of the last century, including , Orson Welles Aaron Copland, John Cage, , and more.
Twist's Sisters� Follies: Between Two Worlds sees the siblings return to haunt the theatre 100 years later.
The show also features performances by Kate Brehm, , Chris De Ville, Ben Elling, Jonothon Lyons, Katie Melby, David Ojala, Jessica Scott, Rachael Shane, Ashley Winkfield.
The production will have lighting design by Poe Saegusa, costume design by Machine Dazzle, sound design by A-Key, projection design by and Thomas Wilfred's CLAVILUX Recreation by Joshua Light Show. Musical direction and arrangements are by and will be performed live by Joshua Samuels, Art Bailey, and George Rush. The MacArthur Grants award unrestricted fellowships to individuals who have shown extraordinary originality and dedication in their creative pursuits as well as a capacity for self-direction.
