Will Van Dyke and Jeff Talbott's fuzzy makes its world premiere beginning July 8 at Barrington Stage Company, but 半岛体育 has a first listen to one of the songs. Hear Cass Morgan and John Cariani perform "Squirrel in the Wind" above.
Featuring a book and lyrics by Talbott and music and lyrics by Van Dyke, fuzzy will open July 12 and continue through July 27. Cariani will star as The Human, with Morgan as The Actress and Teddy Yudain as The Puppeteer.
The theatre is keeping details about the new work to a minimum, sharing in press notes that the show is "a little musical about all the big things鈥攈ow we take care of each other and, in doing so, take care of ourselves, even if you are just a little fuzzy puppet." Ellie Heyman is directing, and Patrick Sulken will music direct.
"Squirrel in the Wind" is from an upcoming EP album of two songs from the musical's score, releasing June 20 from Joy Machine Records. The album is mixed by Derik Lee and mastered by Oscar Zambrano. Pre-save the full release . "Squirrel in the Wind" is now streaming on digital platforms.
