Miami's Rubell Museum has partnered with Miami New Drama to present The Museum Plays, a series of new works inspired by visual art pieces. Six 10-minute-long plays, all directed by Miami New Drama Artistic Director Michel Hausmann and Tatiana Pandiani, will be showcased February 22-March 31 at the Rubell Museum.
The six plays are Rogelio Martinez鈥檚 Bedfellows, inspired by Kaari Upson鈥檚 鈥淩ubells;" Aurin Squire鈥檚 Maybe It鈥檚 About Love, inspired by Kehinde Whiley's "The Portrait of Charles I;" Carmen Pelaez鈥檚 America, inspired by Glenn Ligon鈥檚 鈥淎merica;鈥� Hannah Benitez鈥檚 Muse, inspired by Jenna Gribbon鈥檚 鈥淪cenicscape;鈥� Harley Elias鈥檚 Not a Scam, inspired by Alfonso Gonzalez Jr.鈥檚 鈥淵our Ad Here;鈥� and Marco Ramirez鈥檚 Body of Work.
