Kooman and Dimond are in residence on the University's campus through May 22, working with a cast of eight undergraduate actos to workshop the piece before its staged presentation. The team's The Noteworthy Life of Howard Barnes, will be presented as part of the 2015 Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals in Connecticut.
Kooman and Dimond received the 2013 Award and a 2010 Grant and are the first recipients of the Award. Between them, they have received the Award, the Award, the KC/ACTF Musical Theatre Award, a NYFA Fellowship and numerous ASCAP Plus awards. Their musicals include Orphie & The Book Of Heroes and Judge Jackie Justice among others.
