It took 20 years to get to Broadway, but Marvin鈥檚 Room (currently in previews) will open June 29 starring three-time Emmy nominee Lili Taylor and two-time Emmy nominee Janeane Garofalo.

The two play sisters, one who needs a bone marrow transplant and the other who hasn鈥檛 been involved with the family.
鈥淚t鈥檚 about a family,鈥� said Taylor during an appearance on NBC 4 New York. 鈥淭hey haven鈥檛 seen each other for a while, so there鈥檚 some tension, but they love each other and are pushing through.鈥�
Taylor and Garofalo step into the parts previously played by Mary Steenburgen and Jean Smart, and Diane Keaton and Meryl Streep in the film version. But Taylor says she doesn鈥檛 feel pressure. 鈥淔irst off, I鈥檓 stepping in with Janeane Garofalo, who feels like a sister to me. She just feels really familiar,鈥� Taylor said. 鈥淛aneane is great because she鈥檚 a comedian, so anywhere there is a laugh to mine, she鈥檚 finding it. She cracks me up, and I have to kind of keep it down because she鈥檚 not cracking me up as my sister, but as Lili she is.鈥�
