Assistant Production Manager
Reports To: Production Manager
Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000 per year based on experience
Description: The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for the Production Manager. They will track spending and inventory, prepare statements, and help coordinate mainstage logistics, with activities such as catering, hospitality, and parking. Additionally, in coordination with the Director of Communications & Community Engagement, the Assistant Production Manager will act as the technical representative for the Studio space, and coordinate needs for the events in that space.
Duties and Responsibilities:
路 Assist the Production Manager in preparation of paperwork, such as settlement documents, spending statements, schedules, HR paperwork for Production, and inventory controls.
路 Make the logistical arrangement s for housing, meals, transportation, and in-theatre hospitality.
路 Perform data entry for IATSE payroll, both online and in local systems.
路 Act as the Venue Production representative for the main stage in the absence of the Production Manager. This may include
o Coordinating mainstage performances with touring teams from a technical and logistical end (to include schedules, gear, parking & trucking, hotel and transportation, etc)
o Act as the coordination contact between the tour and in house hospitality team, FOH team, and IATSE crew
路 Act as the Production representative for Studio space.
o Coordinate IATSE personnel needs for events.
o Assist with setup of space, including arraigning for rental needs and coordination with the Director of Event Services.
o Troubleshoot logistic and production issues.
o Prepare, distribute, and track all appropriate paperwork.
路 Attend all necessary internal and external meetings as a representative of the Production Department.
路 Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
鈥� Bachelor鈥檚 degree or equivalent work experience in related position
鈥� Strong interpersonal and cultivation skills
鈥� Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
鈥� Ability to manage a variety of assignments concurrently and meet multiple deadlines
鈥� Ability to work a varied schedule to include nights and weekends as dictated by the performance schedule
鈥� Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
鈥� A working understanding of live entertainment/ touring operations and a general knowledge technical/ production needs
Preferred Qualifications:
路 1+ years of production management experience.
路 Detail oriented and self-motivated.
路 Work well with teams and individuals with a range of experiences.
