The lineup has been revealed for Harvard's American Repertory Theater (A.R.T)'s 2025-2026 season, which will include two world premiere musicals, a Drama Desk-nominated solo show, and a genre-defying circus performance group.
The season will kick off with Passengers, a thrilling theatrical journey that showcases cirque, music, dance, and superhuman skills to explore travel as a metaphor for life鈥檚 ever-changing landscape. Directed by Shana Carroll, Passengers is created by The Seven Fingers collective, the artistic home of the circus choreographer for A.R.T.鈥檚 2012 Tony Award-winning production of Pippin. It will run September 2-September 26, which follows an earlier run at New York City's Perelman Performing Arts Center.
Next up will be Sam Kissajukian鈥檚 Drama Desk Award-nominated solo show 300 Paintings, with performances beginning October 1. The autobiographical exploration of the ties between art, mental health will run through October 19.
The musical adaptation of R.J. Palacio鈥檚 New York Times bestseller and its 2017 film adaptation Wonder will make its world premiere December 9. It follows Auggie Pullman, a middle schooler with a facial difference, and his family as they navigate what it means to belong. It will run through January 25, 2026.
Dave Malloy's newest musical Black Swan will close out the season, with performances beginning May 26, 2026. The A.R.T.-developed adaptation of the 2010 Academy Award-nominated psychological thriller with a story by Andres Heinz will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh, with music supervision and direction by Or Matias, and a book by Jen Silverman. It will run through June 28, 2026. A special gala performance will be held June 4, 2026, with further details being announced in the coming months.
