MCC Theater has added a world premiere from Preston Max Allen (We Are the Tigers) to its upcoming season. 2025 Tony nominee David Cromer (Dead Outlaw) will direct Caroline at the Off-Broadway company's Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater, with performances beginning September 12 ahead of a September 30 opening night. The limited run will continue through October 19.
The work follows Maddie as she's forced to seek help from her long-estranged mother, a move that means she won't be able to shield her daughter, Caroline, from the circumstances that led to the estrangement. Casting and creative team members are to be announced.
The premiere is being produced by special arrangement with Tom Kirdahy Productions.
