Get a Sneak Peek at Riverdale’s Heathers: The Musical Episode

After presenting Carrie, Riverdale High is about to put on Heathers: The Musical. Riverdale's March 20 episode, titled "Big Fun" (a song from the musical), will track the teens' latest theatrical venture against the backdrop of a cult takeover and a string of murders.

Like last season's Carrie, Kevin Keller (played by Casey Cott) directs the school production, which features Josie McCoy (Ashleigh Murray) as Veronica Sawyer, Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) as Heather Chandler, Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) as Heather McNamara, Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) as Heather Duke, and Sweet Pea (Jordan Connor) as J.D.

The Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy musical, based on the 1989 dark comedy, opened Off-Broadway in 2014 and quickly garnered an enthusiastic following online. A reworked version played London's The Other Palace last year before transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket in the West End.
