Directed by Richard Seyd with choreography by , performances will run March 27-April 26 with an official opening April 3 in the Stage Theatre.
The cast comprises (John), Mike Backes (Swing), (Mother Mary), Anthony Fedorov (Andrew), (Jimmy), (Pete), Jordan Leigh (Matt), Andrew Mayer (Bart), (Mary Magdalene), Maximilian Sangerman (Thad), Heath Saunders (Swing), Jordan Barbour (James), Brad Standley (Phil), (Simon), (Tom) and Erin Willis (Swing).
The 12, according to press notes, "follows the disciples as they face the ultimate test of faith in the wake of their leader鈥檚 unthinkable death."
鈥淭he score of The 12, while totally original, is my open love letter to many of the great genres in the history of classic rock and roll, and can only be tackled by powerful, authentic voices,鈥� said composer Berg in a statement. 鈥淲e are thrilled with the cast and creative team we have assembled and cannot wait to bring this unique musical to Denver.鈥�
The creative team also includes music director Michael Mancini, music supervisor , scenic designer John Iacovelli, costume designer Denitsa Bliznakova, lighting designer Lap Chi Chu and sound designer Zach Williamson.
