Soho Rep鈥檚 staging of Alice Birch鈥檚 Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. officially opened Off-Broadway April 19, following previews that began April 5. The production marks a U.S. debut for the award-winning British playwright, who was a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize in 2012 and 2015.
Directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, Birch鈥檚 work uses a series of vignettes to explore the politics of language, looking at how we talk to, and about, each other. 鈥淭his play is not well behaved,鈥� state production notes.
Following an extension announcement, the engagement is now scheduled to run through May 15. The cast features Daniel Abeles, Molly Bernard, Eboni Booth and Jennifer Ikeda.
