Mr. Ehrenberg guided in the renovation and revival of some of the oldest theatre venues in the United States.

Veteran technical and production manager Steven F. Ehrenberg died suddenly April 23, following a heart attack. He was 69. The news was confirmed by Broadway press agent Adrian Bryan-Brown.

Mr. Ehrenberg worked in the theatre industry for decades, guiding individual theatremakers and productions as well as participating in the renovation and revival of some of the oldest theatre venues in the United States. Mr. Ehrenberg鈥檚 work can be seen in the current layouts of the Boston Opera House and Emerson Colonial Theatre, Baltimore鈥檚 Hippodrome, the The Phantom of the Opera Las Vegas theatre at the Venetian, the Jersey Boys theatre at the Palazzo, the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, and the Hudson Theatre on Broadway. Internationally, Mr. Ehrenberg was involved in the renovation and building of theatres in Singapore and Macau.

In 1986, he co-founded Stageright Inc, working widely with Off-Broadway notables such as Steve Reich, Martha Clarke, Twyla Tharp, Music Theatre Group, and Julie Taymor. He served as the longtime production manager for the Blue Man Group, was the vice president of technical production at Base Theatrical, director of production at Brooklyn鈥檚 Kings Theatre, and the vice president of technical supervision at Live Nation.

At the time of his passing, Mr. Ehrenberg was a board member for the League of Historic American Theatres.

He is survived by his wife, Temah Higgins; his brothers Kurt and Chuck; his stepfather Donald; his Uncle Irwin; and his nieces and nephews Sarah, Madelyn, Zach, Henry, Rose, Grace, Poppy, JC, Ruby Rose, Audrey, Emily, David, James, Laura, Rachel, and Scott.
