The tour of the Broadway musical is currently playing Durham, North Carolina.

The North American tour of Back to the Future: The Musical will welcome several new cast members beginning June 4 at the Bushnell in Hartford, Connecticut.

Former Broadway cast members David Josefsberg and Nathaniel Hackmann will step into the roles of Doc Brown and Biff Tannen, respectively. Josefsberg performed on Broadway as Principal Strickland as well as a Doc Brown understudy, while Hackmann originated the role of Biff Tannen.

Also joining the tour, now heading into its second year, will be Sophia Yacap as Jennifer Parker plus ensemble members Zachary Bigelow and Giovanna Martinez and swing Steven Eckloff.

The tour also features Lucas Hallauer as Marty McFly, Mike Bindeman as George McFly, Zan Berube as Lorraine Baines, Cartreze Tucker as Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry, and Luke Antony Neville as Principal Strickland with Joshua Blackswan Abbott, Emily Applebaum, Tade Biesinger, Ina Black, Brittany Bohn, Luther Brooks IV, Alyssa Carol, Jenny Dalrymple, Laura Sky Herman, Ben Lanham, Dwayne P. Mitchell, Fisher Lane Stewart, and Ross Thompson.

Based on the 1985 Universal Pictures/Amblin Entertainment film about teenager Marty McFly鈥攚ho is accidentally transported back to 1955 in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by Dr. Emmett Brown鈥攖he musical has a book by Bob Gale, new music and lyrics by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, with additional songs from the film, including 鈥淭he Power of Love鈥� and 鈥淛ohnny B. Goode.鈥�

Tony winner John Rando directs. The production also features set and costume design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Tim Lutkin and Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Gareth Owen, video design by Finn Ross, choreography by Chris Bailey, musical supervision and arrangements by Nick Finlow, illusions by Chris Fisher, orchestrations by Ethan Popp and Bryan Crook, dance arrangements by David Chase, and casting by Tara Rubin. Bespoke Theatricals serves as general manager.

Back to the Future: The Musical made its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House in March 2020. The West End production opened in London September 13, 2021, at the Adelphi Theatre (where it continues) and subsequently won the Best New Musical Olivier Award. The Broadway production, which opened in August 2023, played its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre January 5, 2024.
