Three-time Tony nominee Kevin Chamberlin (Seussical) will return to the New York City stage with a one-night-only performance of his solo show Finding the Joy, playing the Laurie Beechman Theatre June 23 at 7 PM.
After making his cabaret debut with the show last fall, Chamberlin is reprising his performance due to popular demand. Chamberlin made his Broadway debut in the company of My Favorite Year in 1992. Since then, he has been seen in Wicked, Chicago, The Ritz, and more. In 2000, Chamberlin originated the role of Charlie in Dirty Blonde, which earned him his first Tony Award nomination. Chamberlin received two subsequent nominations for his performances as Horton the Elephant in Seussical and Uncle Fester in The Addams Family.
The actor's film credits include Netflix's adaptation of The Prom, Die Hard with a Vengeance, and In and Out; and television credits include Outer Range, Gracie and Frankie, and Jessie. Chamberlin has also amassed over 11 million followers on TikTok, and received attention on the platform for his performance in the viral Ratatouille the TikTok Musical, which raised millions for The Entertainment Community Fund during the pandemic.
The evening promises special guests, surprises and "lots of love, light, and laughter." Chamberlin will be joined by his music director Michael Orland. Finding the Joy is co-written and directed by Kevin鈥檚 husband, Michael Gans.
