Omigod, you guys! The Broadway cast album of Legally Blonde is getting a special two-LP release. And to give this edition a little something extra, the LPs will be hot pink鈥攚hich will make this version so much better!
The musical played a Broadway run in 2007 at the Palace Theatre with Laura Bell Bundy leading the cast as Elle Woods. Based on the 2001 film, the story follows blonde bombshell Elle Woods as she enters Harvard law school chasing her ex-boyfriend, only to discover she has everything she needs inside herself already. The movie came to the stage with music and lyrics by husband-and-wife team Nell Benjamin and Laurence O'Keefe and a book by Heather Hach. Jerry Mitchell directed and choreographed.
The album鈥攚hich includes such fan-favorite songs as "So Much Better," "Omigod You Guys," "Bend and Snap," and the title track鈥攊s produced by Joel Moss and Kurt Deutsch, with Deutsch and Bill Rosenfield serving as executive producers.
Along with Bundy, the cast includes Annaleigh Ashford as Margot, Richard H. Blake as Warner Huntington III, Christian Borle as Emmett Forrest, Natalie Joy Johnson as Enid, Andy Karl as Kyle, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer as Serena, DeQuina Moore as Pilar, Orfeh as Paulette, Michael Rupert as Professor Callahan, Kate Shindle as Vivienne Kensington, and Nikki Snelson as Brooke Wyndham.
The show was produced for the stage by Hal Luftig, Kristin Caskey and Mike Isaacson for Fox Theatricals, and Dori Berinstein.
