The event also marked the departure of Artistic Director Andr茅 Bishop, who is leaving his role at the end of this season, capping off a 33-year tenure. Lear deBessonet will succeed Bishop, with Bartlett Sher joining in the new role of executive producer.

The performance was held on the set of Floyd Collins, the Adam Guettel-Tina Landau musical currently making its long-awaited Broadway debut at the Beaumont via Lincoln Center Theater, and Bishop's final production as artistic director. The company's LCT3 is presenting the world premiere of Caitlin Saylor Stephens' Five Models in Ruins, 1981 in the Off-Broadway Claire Tow Theater through June 1.
