Going Bacharach: The Songs of an Icon, a new revue celebrating the career of the late legendary singer-songwriter Burt Bacharach, will hold two private industry presentations May 6 and 7 at Theater 555.
Created by Will Friedwald, Adrian Galante, Tedd Firth, and Jack Lewin and directed by Bill Castellino, the revue celebrates Bacharach's legacy with nearly 50 songs ranging from the 1950s to the 21st century.
The cast will include Hilary Kole, John Pagano, who toured as a featured vocalist with Bacharach, and Ta-Tynisa Wilson (Hamilton).
Conceived by Lewin, Going Bacharach features arrangements and orchestrations by Adrian Galante, who will also serve as music director. Musical supervision will be by Tedd Firth. Visceral Entertainment is the general manager, and Kathleen Rose Gallardo is the production stage manager.
Best known as the writer behind numerous pop songs that debuted throughout the 1960s, '70s, and '80s, Bacharach also composed the score to Broadway's hit 1968 musical Promises, Promises. He passed away in early 2023. Read his obituary here.
