Initial casting has been announced for the Muny premiere of Bring It On: The Musical, which opens the theatre鈥檚 107th season in Missouri.
Directed by Denis Jones with choreography by Jennifer Weber, cheer consulting and choreography by Ryan Martin O鈥機onnor, and music direction by conductor Anne Shuttlesworth, performances are scheduled for June 16-22.
Leading this musical centered on the world of competitive cheerleading will be Jonalyn Saxer as Campbell, Kennedy Holmes as Danielle, Bryce Williams as Randall, Taylor Sage Evans as Eva, Katy Geraghty as Bridget, Ayla Ciccone-Burton as Nautica, AJ Paramo as La Cienega, Katie Riedel as Skylar, Regine Sophia as Kylar, Sean Harrison Jones as Steven, Kevin Trinio Perdido as Twig, and Brandon O鈥橬eal Bomer as Cameron. Sixteen squad members and alumni from University of Kentucky cheerleading program will be part of the ensemble.

Following a national tour, Bring It On: The Musical opened at the St. James Theatre August 1, 2012. The production, directed and choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, played 21 previews and 171 performances before closing December 30, 2012, earning two Tony Award nominations including Best Musical.
Inspired by Jessica Bendinger鈥檚 film, Bring It On follows two squads who fight for the title at the National Cheerleading Championships. The musical features music by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, lyrics by Miranda and Amanda Green, and libretto by Jeff Whitty.
The upcoming production will also have scenic design by Ann Beyersdorfer, costume design by Tristan Raines, lighting design by Jason Lyons, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Caite Hevner, and wig design by Ashley Rae Callahan.
The Muny artistic staff includes Artistic Director and Executive Producer Isaacson, Associate Artistic Director Michael Baxter, Director of Production Tracy Utzmyers, and Music Supervisor Michael Horsley.
Season 107 at The Muny also includes Come From Away (June 26-July 2), Disney鈥檚 Frozen (July 6-14), Evita (July 18-24), Dear Evan Hansen (July 28-August 3), La Cage aux Folles (August 8-14) and Jersey Boys (August 18-24).
