The third season of the HBO drama The Gilded Age will
officially premiere June 22, with eight episodes set for the new season.
Created by Julian Fellowes, the series takes place in turn-of-the-century New York and follows new money socialite Bertha Russell (played by Carrie Coon) as she navigates high society. Get a first look at the third season in the video above.
As previously reported, numerous Broadway alums are joining the series for the third season, including Phylicia Rashad (Purpose), Jordan Donica (Camelot), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Ragtime), Victoria Clark (Kimberly Akimbo), Kate Baldwin (Finian's Rainbow), Dylan Baker (The Good Wife), Michael Cumpsty (Severance), John Ellison Conlee (Boardwalk Empire), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime), Paul Alexander Nolan (Parade), Leslie Uggams (King Hedley II), Andrea Martin (McNeal), Jessica Frances Dukes (Trouble in Mind), and Hannah Shealy (The Rose Tattoo).
Returning cast members include Louisa

Season three, press notes state, takes place after the Opera War,
with the old guard weakened and the Russells poised to take their place
at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would
elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George (Spector) risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize
the railroad industry鈥攊f it doesn鈥檛 ruin him first. Across the street,
the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes (Baranski) refuses to accept Ada鈥檚 (Nixon) new position as lady
of the house. Meanwhile, Peggy (Benton) meets a handsome doctor
from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career.
