Casting is now set for the U.K. premiere of Kait Kerrigan (Broadway's The Great Gatsby) and Scott Evan Davis' Indigo, which will play London's Curve Studio Theatre June 26鈥揓uly 19.
Directed by Catie Davis, the cast will be led by Lisa Maxwell (Loose Women) as Elaine, a 63-year-old woman recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's; Olivier winner Rebecca Trehearn (Show Boat) as Beverly, Elaine's good-hearted daughter; and Katie Cailean as Emma, Beverly's autistic and non-speaking daughter.
The company will also include Nuno Queimado as Beverly鈥檚 husband Rick, Hugo Rolland as local teenager Tyler, and Tania Mathurin as social worker Alicia. In猫s Mazdon Delas will make her Curve debut as understudy for the role of Emma.
With music and lyrics by Davis and a book by Kerrigan, Indigo celebrates the bonds that unite a family and tells the story of three generations of women navigating their need to reach one another.
Indigo, which was conceived by Jay Kuo, Lorenzo Thione, and Davis, will also have musical supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations by Brad Haak, set and video design by Andrzej Goulding, costume design by Susan Kulkarni, lighting design by Jake DeGroot, and sound design by Matt Peploe. Casting is by Olivia Laydon for Jill Green Casting.
The world premiere of Indigo took place at The Human Race Theatre Company in Dayton, Ohio, in 2023.
