High Priest: Confessions From the Warhol Factory, a new play from Paul Iacono (The Hard Times of RJ Berger), will get an NYC reading August 18 at The Flea Theater, with Rachel Klein directing.
The cast will feature Iacono as Ondine, Brady Dalton Richards as Andy Warhol, Alice Kremelberg as Edie Sedgwick, Zane Pais as Billy Name, Hannah Solow as Brigid Polk, Peter Vack as Paul Morrissey, Andrew Bova as Gerard Malanga, Katherine Crockett as Nico and Valerie Solanas, Keith Rapp as Lou Reed, and Barrett Leddy as Rotten Rita and Jonas Mekas.
The work centers on Robert Olivo, a.k.a. Ondine, a gay performance artist and Warhol Superstar as his career soars and flops within the Warhol Factory. The reading will feature music supervision by Peter Saxe, stage management by Jasmin Sanchez, and graphic design by Jason Sedgwick. The production is using a photograph of Warhol and Ondine by Billy Name.
