London's Royal Court Theatre has unveiled the roster of artists that will perform Nassim Soleimanpour's ECHO (Every Cold-Hearted Oxygen). The play, which returns to the theatre after its sold-out 2024 premiere, will feature a new performer each night, performing the script as the artist reads it for the first time. Performances run June 27-July 5 at the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs.

Echo follows plays with similar performance schemes from Soleimanpour, including White Rabbit, Red Rabbit and Nassim, both of which played Off-Broadway runs and were also performed as unrehearsed cold reads. This return to London precedes a planned international tour of EchoC, with details on tour dates and locations to come.

Directed by Omar Elerian (Rhinoceros, Misty, two Palestinians go dogging), this run of Echo will feature 11 performers. Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9 ) will perform June 27; Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) will perform at 6:30 PM June 28; James Corden (Gavin and Stacy) will perform June 30; Dominic West (The Affair) will perform July 1; Lolly Adefope (Ghosts) will perform July 2; Nish Kumar (The Mash Report) will perform at 2:30 PM July 3; Milly Alcock (House of The Dragon) will perform at 7:30 pm July 3; Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off) will perform July 4; Simon McBurney (Nosferatu) will perform at 1:30 PM July 5; and Juliet Stevenson (Reawakening) will perform at 6:30 PM July 5. One additional guest performer will be revealed at a later date.

The performance will also feature Soleimanpour connected live from Berlin鈥攎aybe. "Can we really know where or when we are?," press notes tease.

The creative team includes creative technologist, video and production designer Derek Richards; lighting designer Jackie Shemesh; and composer and sound designer Anna Clock, with dramaturgy by Kirsty Housley, dramaturgy and creative production by Immanuel Bartz, and script editor Stewart Pringle. Casting is by Amy Ball and Arthur Carrington.

Echo is being co-produced by LIFT/Royal Court Theatre, Staatstheater Mainz, Riksteatern, Why Not Theatre, Th茅芒tre National Wallonie-Bruxelles/Le Lieu Unique, Les Th茅芒tres de la Ville de Luxembourg, and Canberra Theatre Centre/Malthouse Theatre. The production is presented in association with NYC's The Shed, which could indicate an upcoming Off-Broadway run.
