Jay Armstrong Johnson's Hocus Pocus-inspired concert I Put a Spell on You will celebrate its 10th anniversary October 20 at Manhattan's Webster Hall.

Subtitled The 10th Anniversary, the evening will again benefit the Ali Forney Center, the full-service organization protecting LGBTQIA+ youth from homelessness. Last year’s event, ALiiVE at Webster Hall, raised over $250,000.

Johnson (Moulin Rouge, Parade), Allison Godleski, and Amanda Williams Ware will return to headline the evening as the cult classic film's Sanderson sisters, Winifred, Sarah, and Mary, respectively. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Created in 2016 as Jay’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, the event has grown from beginnings at 54 Below to viral virtual iterations attended and streamed by tens of thousands worldwide. The 10th Anniversary marks the second year at Webster Hall and the third benefiting AFC.

Johnson said in a statement, “Our team is proud to continue our partnership with AFC to support their important work as we celebrate community, identity, and the unabashed queer joy of Halloween. Protecting queer youth, in today’s climate especially, feels more necessary and timely than ever.

Sean Gorski of Hudson Theatrical Associates continues as the event’s production manager with returning creatives also including creative director DW, supervising choreographer Michael Anthony Sylvester, and makeup designer Kyle Krueger with video production by Jake Primmerman of PRIMME CREATIVE and Catriona Rubenis-Stevens.

Andy Jones of Baseline Theatrical serves as executive producer, alongside Johnson. Clarissa Marie Ligon and Joe Hornberger join as producers. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS returns as the event’s lead sponsor.

Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Sarah Jessica Parker famously starred in the original 1993 Disney film Hocus Pocus.

General and VIP tickets will be on sale soon, while sponsorship packages are available by emailing Kim Rajamani, AFC’s Special Events Manager. All ticket purchases benefit the Ali Forney Center and are tax deductible before additional service fees.
