°ëµºÌåÓý's podcast has officially launched! The latest episode of The °ëµºÌåÓý Podcast: A Show On Broadway features Redwood star and co-creator Idina Menzel and is now available anywhere you get your podcasts, including and . You can also listen below.
Menzel created Redwood with director, book writer, and co-lyricist Tina Landau, collaborating with composer-lyricist Kate Diaz to tell the story of a woman who looks to the canopy of a West Coast redwood forest for solace and healing after a personal tragedy. The performance has Menzel back on Broadway for the first time since 2014's If/Then, and back at the Nederlander Theatre for the first time since making her momentous, Tony-nominated Broadway debut in 1996's Rent.
Along with a chat with Menzel, the Redwood episode of The °ëµºÌåÓý Podcast also features host °ëµºÌåÓý Chief Operating Officer and Vice President Alex Birsh, joined by °ëµºÌåÓý video editor and videographer Ethan Treiman, our resident superfan of the musical, to discuss what makes this musical—Broadway's rare, truly original new musical—so indelible. Future episodes of The °ëµºÌåÓý Podcast are slated to center on & Juliet with current stars Maya Boyd and Alison Luff, Oh, Mary! with its writer-star Cole Escola and director Sam Pinkleton, and lots more in the weeks ahead.
