The current Broadway production of The Last Five Years has added a performance to its limited run in honor of its standbys.
Noah Kieserman (Dear Evan Hansen) and Nasia Thomas (SIX) will step into the roles of Jamie and Cathy, regularly played by Nick Jonas and Adrienne Warren, for a special, one-night only added performance June 15 at 7 PM. This performance allows a guarantee for Kieserman and Thomas to publicly perform the roles before the production closes on June 22, a rarity for standby performers. Tickets for their performance are now on sale.

鈥淲e as a theater industry would be nowhere without the dedication of swings, understudies, and standbys,鈥 the producers of The Last Five Years said in a statement. 鈥淲e are so excited to be able to give Noah and Nasia an opportunity to perform these roles that have been so delicately and beautifully realized by Nick and Adrienne.鈥
Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years opened at the Hudson Theatre April 6. Starring Nick Jonas and Tony winner Adrienne Warren, the production is directed by Whitney White. The Last Five Years tracks a five-year relationship between Cathy and Jamie from beginning to end via intertwining solo songs, with Jamie's story unfolding chronologically and Cathy's reverse chronologically.
The musical, which premiered at Skokie, Illinois's Northlight Theatre before a 2002 Off-Broadway run at Minetta Lane Theatre starring Norbert Leo Butz and Sherie Rene Scott, has become a particular favorite among theatre fans.
