The upcoming world premiere of James Inverne's That Bastard, Puccini!, set for London's Park Theatre July 10-August 9, has found its full cast. Opening night will be July 15.
Alasdair Buchan (The Mousetrap) will star as Ruggero Leoncavallo opposite Sebastien Torkia (Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors) as Giacomo Puccini, with Inverne's play following the two opera artists' struggle to claim their individual adaptations of La Boh茅me as the primary version. The cast will also include Lisa-Anne Wood (Wicked) as Leoncavallo's wife Berthe.
Daniel Slater is directing the production, which will feature set and costume design by Carly Brownbridge, lighting design by Katy Morison, and sound design by Yvonne Gilbert. Rebecca Gwyther is producing.
