The two-time Tony nominee shares moments of his life in this solo play-meets-reflection, which opened October 27 in the Music Box Theatre.

Gabriel Byrne

Reviews are in for the Broadway run of Walking With Ghosts. Based on the memoir of two-time Tony nominee Gabriel ByrneWalking With Ghosts arrived on the stage of Broadway's Music Box Theatre following runs in Dublin, Edinburgh, and London's West End. The 75-performance run opened October 27 following previews which began October 18.

Part-solo play, part-reflection, Walking With Ghosts is the stage adaptation of Byrne's 2020 memoir of the same name. Byrne shares memories of growing up in a working class family in Dublin, learning from the "theatre of the street," struggling as an actor, the pressures of fame and all the comic, dark, and seemingly commonplace experiences in between. The meanderings down memory lane are described as a "lyricial homage to the people and landscapes that shape our destinies."
